How Loneliness Helped Me Achieve My Dreams
And how I received clarity to make the right decisions
Loneliness is a dreaded word. We do all we can to not be alone.
But I’ve learned in the past few years that loneliness is worth it.
Loneliness has helped me achieve my goals. I came from a place of always being dependent on my friends. What they said mattered more to me than what anyone else said. It meant more to me than what my mother or my father said.
I didn’t realize the effect it had on me and how I could not achieve much because I was hung up on the approval of others, addicted even.
I fell ill a few years ago and this affected my ability to move around. The number of friends I had reduced, people I used to do things for.
I was used to having people around me and didn’t think I could survive on my own.
But surprisingly, I learned over time how to be alone.
